CLIMATE
The local scenery combined with the splendor offered in each of the four seasons is like living in a postcard setting. The Sault is said to offer the greatest potential for the “perfect white Christmas.” During the summer, there are plenty of perfect crimson sunsets on the horizon. Fall brings a blaze of colour that attracts thousands of visitors each year to enjoy the crisp air, clear night skies and bounty of harvest.

EDUCATION
The Algoma District School Board has over thirty public schools, and five public secondary
schools. The Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board has over 20 separate elementary schools, and four separate secondary
schools.
Sault Ste. Marie offers excellent post-secondary education opportunities at Algoma University College, Sault College
of Applied Arts and Technology, and Lake Superior State University in Sault Michigan.
The International Baccalaureate program is offered at one of the local highschools,
Korah Collegiate. French Language education is available at both the elementary
and high school level.

TRANSPORTATION
Sault Ste. Marie is located just south of the mid-point of the TransCanada Highway thereby placing us at the centre of Canada. We are also at the northern point of U.S. Interstate I-75 which runs directly from Michigan into Ontario via the International Bridge.
The Sault Ste. Marie Federal Airport enables people and cargo to travel for business or pleasure anywhere in the world. The Chippewa County International Airport, located outside of Sault, Michigan, provides convenient access to airlines in the U.S.
