Boating, snowmobiling, skiing, fishing and hunting, baseball, hockey, curling and hiking are just some of the options you can choose from. Why not try them all? The Algoma area features downhill and cross country ski trails: the best east of the Rockies, as well as snowmobile and all-terrain trails and hiking paths.

Whether it is supporting a cause you believe in or finding solace in a place of worship, the Sault offers over 100 service and support groups and approximately 55 houses or worship. Service groups include: Royal Canadian Legion, Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation. Many sporting interests are also represented in the form of sailing clubs, snowmobile clubs, curling clubs and hunting/fishing clubs to name just a few. Spiritual needs encompass all major faiths and denominations.

WATERFRONT ATTRACTIONS,
DOWNTOWN SHOPPING

The downtown area has many activities ranging from a waterfront boardwalk to shopping and dining. The Roberta Bondar Tent Pavillion and Marina brings locals and visitors together for the many festivals, concerts and special events that occur throughout the year.  Located nearby are specialty stores, museums, art galleries and historic sites such as the Ermatinger Old Stone House and Clergue Blockhouse.























There are many excellent art and cultural opportunities in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma area. The Art Gallery of Algoma opened in 1980, and has since hosted many shows each year. The Sault Ste. Marie Museum and the Ermatinger-Clergue Heritage Site showcase the rich history of the area. Theatre and music lovers will enjoy the Sault Symphony Orchestra and a variety of host theatre groups. Seasonal events include the Algoma Fall Festival and Bon Soo Winter Carnival.
