Otolaryngologists with FRCP(C) and Ontario license, or eligibility for same, are required to provide services to the community of Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding district. 
  • opportunity for busy practice with weekly access to O.R. time
  • surgical procedures are done at Sault Area Hospital
  • basic T & A and insertion of ear tubes
  • Surgical Day Care Unit extended hours for outpatient recovery
  • practice is assisted by quality anesthetic programs
  • nursing support - assigned teams per specialty in the Operating Room
  • practice is supported by full Diagnostic Imaging Department (includes C.T. Scan and MRI)
  • instrumentation includes Stortz microlaryngeal and sinoscopic equipment, ear instrumentation for microscopic procedures (Zeis ENT microscope purchased 2 years ago), including Xomed-Treace Microcraft drill, malleable and rigid bronchoscopes and rigid laryngeal and esophageal instrumentation
  • Applicants are eligible for Ministry of Health and Long Term Care Underserviced Area Program Basic Incentive Grant.
  • applicants are eligible for very competitive community incentive
Teaching opportunities: Affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) provides the opportunity to teach residents and medical students.
